Suburban Wildlife

After it cooled down last night (90 degrees yesterday, yuck!) we went for a late-night walk and saw many of this little guy's relatives. We're fortunate to have a number of parks nearby that offer a chance to see and enjoy the wildlife. I don't handle the heat well so I'm looking forward to the upcoming cooler days and nights so I can spend more time outside.

Mississippi River

It was even warmer than predicted yesterday (57 at the time of this photo) so I took a break and went for a walk. Forever drawn to the water, I headed toward the closest bridge over the Mississippi and stood for a bit, watching the water go by. It was wonderful!

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall

I was playing in the photo archives this morning and came across these beauties from the park next door. I love living in a place with such a wide variance in the seasonal landscape. There's still snow on the ground today but it's supposed to reach 50 and these are a nice reminder of the changes to come.

Peacefulness makes me happy. Releasing the stress, angst, worry, and blech that tries to latch on to you as you move through a day in the world.

Saturday Mornings

I love Bluegrass music and one of my favoritest things to do is fix a yummy cup of coffee and listen to Bluegrass Saturday Morning while hanging out with my wonderful husband. He made steak and eggs for breakfast for us this morning. Double-plus!
